Centralize the second level control and financial activities for local and Head Office reporting: Control and reconciliation of accounts and generate stadistics about accounting risk for all the entities on CIB Colombia.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain constant operation of the BNP Paribas Group's internal financial reporting standard control system and other activities that are necessary for the full control of accounts, according to the complexity of the entities in charge and their operations.
Ensure, the quality of controls, as a second-level reviewer, of the financial reporting and accounting management of the entities under its scope, ensuring compliance with local, regulatory, internal and corporate information regimes, in the periodicity, timeliness, specificity technical and quality requirements, in accordance with the standards set by local regulation and BNP Paribas Group policies.
Prepare statutory financial statements yearly and interim financial and accounting reporting standards applicable to the entities under its scope.
Perform controls over accounting production, ensuring the quality of the information for regulatory, statutory and corporate accounting reports, in accordance with the accounting and financial policies applicable to the entity, allowing the generation of accurate and timely reports according to the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
Communicate and interact with Internal and External auditors and control regulators over subjects related to accounting and local regulatory reporting.
Monitoring and keep updated the procedures for financial control procedures, the accounting policies of the entity and others necessary for the maintenance of the accounting production of the entity.
Follow up and ensure implementation of action plans for closing audit points (external, internal and regulators), in all aspects that impact accounting management system and financial reporting, being that such action plans belong or Not to the Finance & Tax Area.
Maintain a control related to the updates for regulatory norms and communicate to all sub departments in Finance &Tax those. Ensurance the update of the operative processes according those updates.
Accountant, CPA, with knowledge of capital markets, IFRS and COLGAAP. Proficiency in speech, reading and writing. Bilingual (Spanish - English).
Experience in banking process analysis: risks, controls, segregation of functions, financial accounting, valuation of financial instruments, presentation and disclosure of financial statements.
