Accounting Consolidation Analyst

Recently BNP Paribas established a European finance operations centre in Lisbon, with 235 positions, and part of the Group Finance function. Group Finance Services (“GFS”) is responsible for compiling and processing accounting and financial information in order to ensure the publication of financial information and to provide Executive Management with the necessary information for the entire Group’s financial management. It is also responsible for the design, deployment and evolution of financial information systems. Within Group Finance, Accounting and Reporting is in charge of the Group & sub-group consolidated financial statements.

To achieve this target, the intra-group analyst team ensures the reliability of financial and accounting data of BNP Paribas Group, by monitoring the reconciliation process of the intercompany transactions and analysing complex operations. The intra-group team has a key role in the control of accounting feeding data process and in the worldwide intercompany process coordination.


As Intra-group analyst, you are responsible for the intra-group reconciliations for the Group consolidation and French statuary financial statements, in close relationship with worldwide entities and business lines.

Your main mission is to:

  • Produce synthesis on intra-group reconciliation for quarterly closing to be communicated to business lines and  to the accounting group consolidation team based in Paris
  • Analyse and manage complex transactions (eg. derivatives) with Group Norms department
  • Coordinate and contribute to the reconciliation process of intra-group operations
  • Evaluate the potential impact of intra-group operations on Group Financial statements
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements


  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Professional experience: Between 0 to 5 years of experience as accounting officer or in a similar role and organisation or in the field Accounting
  • Strong understanding of banking accounting and international accounting framework (IFRS standard)
  • Knowledge in financial products (specific accounting issues as securities temporary disposal, derivatives, commitments) is a plus
  • Fluent in English (minimum B2 Level, CECRL certificate)
  • Knowledge of French is a plus
  • Strong capacity for analytical and problem solving
  • Rigorous and organised
  • Communication and coordination skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and with international locations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
  • SAP Business Object or Cognos experience is a plus
