Position Purpose

To develop the knowledge and skills of GTFO staff to meet organizations current and future business objectives. 


 

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

Risk Management
    Perform RCA of all errors + identify steps/suggest procedure to avoid recurrence of errors.
    Inform COE staff of the impact of implementation of new CRF applicable to COE team 

Training of staff

    Provide training to New Joiners covering the entire gamut of Trade Finance concepts, guidelines (UCP 600, ISBP, URR etc), procedures (SOP), application systems, IT security, and Compliance.
    Conduct quarterly assessment on relevant ICC Publications and on aspects of document scrutiny for the COE team  to test the existing level of Trade related knowledge and skill levels.
    Conduct refresher training sessions for COE staff  on relevant topics (based on error/quality analysis and on training needs analysis) depending upon the requirement for maintaining the quality of operations.
    Conduct preliminary assessment based on technical trade knowledge for selection of candidates for CDCS/CSDG sponsorship and other L&D initiatives. Conduct rigorous training program to candidates selected 

Updation of  procedures pertaining to Vigilance and Document checking
    Update Vigilance Procedure (incorporating the Latest CRF) and  Site specific specificities in COE specific folder, Consolidate ICC and TED opinions  for easy reference and impart training for any changes or modifications made on the SOP.

Contributing Responsibilities

    Contribute to the Operations Permanent Control framework
    Support MO to address ultimate client needs and resolve customer complaints/queries if any.
    Preparation and submission of MIS and reports to management as required and disseminate information to the Team.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
•    Knowledge on UCP 600,  ISBP 745, URDG, URR 725 and URC 522
•    Knowledge of ICC Opinions 
•    Knowledge of internal Accounting Systems and Packages 
•    Process performance evaluation, analysis and improvement
•    Familiarity with computer applications, MS-Office, Business Objects etc..
•    Familiarity with Banking Back Office Operations, Processes and Systems.
•    Knowledge on various regulations connected with Trade Finance Operations
