Strategy & Business Development team works closely with Global Markets (GM) management to develop the long-term strategy of GM and the Global Business Lines/Regions. The team is also responsible for competitive benchmarking and intelligence and for managing the business development portfolio. In particular, any acquisition, large scale transaction or partnership project are jointly driven by the team together with the relevant business. The team is located in London, Paris, Hong-Kong, New York and soon Lisbon.


The selected candidate will be based in Lisbon after a few months of training abroad and will provide a full support on various projects and initiatives to the central Strategy and Business Development teams based in London and Paris.
  • Contribute to the Global Markets strategy and business development projects
  • Be a partner in development projects (investments, acquisitions) including due diligence, execution and post-merger follow-up
  • Participate in the build-up of the strategic projects, i.e. new activity developments, transversal projects involving several businesses or departments
  • Collect and analyse information for the benchmark:
    • Develop competitive data (BNPP vs its competitors, investigate on specific metrics etc.)
    • Build the relevant database used for the benchmark
    • Work with consultancy firms
    • Provide relevant analyses
    • Build the quarterly book
    • Write memos
  • Be a support to the central team
    • Help to prepare specific presentations and analyses
    • Provide relevant information for decision-making


  • Graduated from Business School or Engineering School (or equivalent)
  • Between 2 and 5 years of professional experience in a similar area (Ideally first experience in Strategy and Consulting/advisory)
  • Knowledge of Global Market environment (i.e., products, business models)
  • Genuine interest in financial markets and continually learning and staying abreast of new developments. Provide a good appreciation of economics and market dynamics, with enough understanding to present views on market conditions and trends.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel – including Macros, PowerPoint)
  • Very good level of English (all our communications and our presentations are in English)
  • Team player and cross cultural awareness, collaborate and provide information to the colleagues and stakeholders
  • Autonomous, delivers high quality work, rigorous and synthetic
  • Good awareness of risk and fundamental risk concepts
  • Able to work in a changing environment
  • Good communication skills with his management and stakeholders
  • Acts with discipline and high ethical standards
  • Available for a training period abroad
