Job Description Summary

Under general supervision, contributes to the software application development / delivery using full stack technological skills including Front-end, back-end micro services and databases. Work with cross functional teams to understand the business needs and deliver the business applications in a fast paced software development environment. As a member of a highly collaborative team, your development skills will be critical in delivering enterprise wide access to processes and information. You will build amazing shared capabilities that will enable other developers to adopt cutting edge technologies and deliver world class technical solutions for the Bank.
  • Partners with Product Owners to translate complex business needs into technical solutions; drives consensus across multiple stakeholders.
  • Understand customer requirements and KPIs
  • Strong at building CI/CD pipelines, packaging application in Linux-based docker containers and deploying to Kubernetes.
  • Build automated processes wherever possible
  • Incident management and root cause analysis
  • Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
  • Monitoring and measuring customer experience and KPIs
  • Creates automated test suites for functional / non-functional requirements
  • Understands software architecture and technical design and implements code according to the standards set by the organization
  • Understands and uses general knowledge of the security coding standards to code and test the software components according to the security standards set by the organization.
  • Must understand and can use database concepts and models.
  • Understands and supports end to end software development and delivery needs, from inception to production.
  • Implements feature functionality and establishes ownership over of the code.
  • Builds solution alternatives and conducts reviews with the business and technical representatives; drives consensus between them.
  • Conducts demos in support of multiple teams.
  • Implements various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure

Essential Job Functions

  • Excellent troubleshooting
  • Agile/Test-driven development (TDD) knowledge. (Stories, SCM/Git, Mocking, etc.….)
  • Experience working on Linux based infrastructure
  • Understanding of Ruby, Python, Perl, and Java
  • Configuration and managing databases such as MySQL, Mongo
  • Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services
  • Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
  • Must be very comfortable with collaborative criticism and course correction.
  • Familiar with
    • Version control.
    • Continuous Integration servers.
    • Configuration management.
    • Deployment automation.
    • Containers.
    • Infrastructure Orchestration.
    • Monitoring and analytics.
    • Testing and Cloud Quality tools
  • Performs majority of time hands-on coding
  • Collaborates with Product Owner to come up with technical designs for the business requirements
  • Understands Agile software delivery concepts and operates within the Agile framework, without supervision
  • Understands software architecture and technical design and implements code according to the standards set by the organization
  • Understands and uses general knowledge of the security coding standards to code and test the software components according to the security standards set by the organization
  • Participates in Sprint demos conducted by the scrum team. Creates automated test suites for functional / non-functional business requirements
  • Understands and uses the CI/CD pipeline to automate the code build and deployment process.
  • Must understand database concepts and models

Other Job Duties

  • Willing to learn new technologies and business domain knowledge
  • Familiar in implementing REST APIs and API Automation such as Swagger

Required Experience

  • Requires broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education.
  • Requires less than 2 years prior relevant experience.


  • Bachelor's Degree in  Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Architecture or other related disciplines.
