About the role
This exciting new role will see you as a pivotal part of the long-term success of the Sales (Commercial) department. You will be expected to drive a focus on developing sales skills for all our teams, delivering a wide range of in-house courses to all levels of Journey Makers.
In partnership with the L&D team, you will design a Sales Academy that equips, develops and challenges the conventional sales training approach. You will work closely with the Sales Leaders to identify development needs, embed a coaching culture and be part of the team that prepares our people for the Future of Work. You will become an expert in BRAVO (our in-house Sales methodology) and will be chomping at the bit to take it to the next level. Over time you will be able to fully embrace and embed Insights, CX BRAVO (full training will be given) and disruptive thinking methodologies into all the training you design and deliver. From systems and tools such as SalesForce, to skills and competencies ranging from upselling to presenting or negotiating big ticket deals, you will deliver training on it all.
Reporting to the Head of Direct Sales & Partnerships you will also have a dotted line report into the Head of Organisational Development and so help future proof our organisation. You will be part of a local community of L&D experts and will be able to share best practice, tools and resource with them on a regular basis.
You should note that there would be travel to our offices in Birmingham and Manchester.

We are looking for an accomplished L&D specialist who is experienced in delivering sales skills training and can effortlessly build relationships across the business whether interacting one on one or in group situations. You will be a real ‘people person’ who is not only bright and challenging but most importantly blessed with an abundance of positive energy that can be used to delight customers and inspire colleagues. Your delivery skills will be legendary!
What will set you apart is your enthusiasm and passion for learning and developing others. At heart, you may secretly wish to be the next Head of Sales, so you will need to be agile (mentally) to succeed in this role and have an excellent mix of commercial thinking, common sense and charisma. Lastly, you will also be collaborative team player and a healthy interest in designing in the digital space would be the cherry on top. Knowledge of SalesForce would also give you an edge!
