Job Description Summary

Manages day-to-day aspects of a Scrum team, which includes leading Scrum Events (Backlog, Planning, Review, Retrospectives, and Daily Stand Ups) and be an advocate for autonomous, self-organizing, empowered, and continuously improving teams. You will act as primary point of contact, information hub, and escalation point within an assigned function for all stakeholders including all functional departments, Clients, and Third Party Suppliers.

Essential Job Functions

  • Be the guardian of a small, low to medium complex scrum team
  • Raises impediments and remove roadblocks/distractions, resolving challenges quickly and positively
  • Facilitates small to medium team organization and ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews/demos, and retrospectives
  • Aligns your teams around clear goals and encourage direct, positive involvement in all aspects
  • Grows team confidence to experiment, iterate, evolve, and learn
  • Ensures full transparency with velocity, burn down/up reporting, and communicating team progress with value focused metrics
  • Collaborates with Product Owner in backlog grooming
  • Leverages your expertise to change mindsets, empower team members, and build a great team

  • Consistently improve the process / product and take and receive direct feedback on what’s working and what’s not
  • Lead and influence others, including those more senior on best practices
  • Anticipate and respond to changes in direction, priority, and sprint performance
  • Support and empower the team to make appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition

Required Experience

  • Requires deep knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
  • Typically viewed as a specialist within discipline
  • May have broad knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Requires 7 years minimum prior relevant experience


  • Bachelor's Degree


  • Beginning to Intermediate knowledge of agile methodology and scaled framework like scrum, Kanban, SAFe etc.
  • Beginning to Intermediate knowledge of Jira / Confluence / CA PPM (Clarity) / CA Rally or similar tools
  • Beginner to intermediate skills in Stakeholder Management, conflict resolution, negotiation, and communication
  • Beginner to intermediate planning and estimation experience in a scrum format
  • Beginner to intermediate ability to bring out the best in others and lead by example
  • Beginner to intermediate interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively with diverse personality types
  • Beginner to intermediate analytical, planning and organizational skills, and a talent for managing competing demands
  • Beginner to intermediate understanding of continuous build and integration environments

Working Location Statement

This position has the option to work in one of our key hubs (San Ramon, CA, Tempe, AZ, Omaha, NE) or to work remotely as long as it is in within our 27 state working footprint which includes AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IA, IL, KS, MI, MN, MO, NE, NV, NM, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, SD, TX, UT, WA, WI, WY, NY.

Annual Hiring Range:


Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. 

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for “annual” incentives.
