Job Description Summary
Exciting leadership opportunity with the Wealth Management Private Client
Brokerage business in the SoCal region of the US for the following segments: Affluent ($250K - $5MM), High Net Worth ($5MM
- $25MM). Ideal candidate will be setting
direction, policies and guidelines for the SoCal region in conjunction with
the Head of Sales. Develops annual business plan and coordinates activities
with senior management. Manages Wealth Management Center Managers, Relationship
Managers, Financial Advisors and/or team leaders in a geographic region or for
a client segment. Leads the region's new business efforts, existing client
relationships and may assist in new product development.
Essential Job Functions
•Develops, recommends and executes annual business plan
goals and objectives for Wealth Management and Private Client Brokerage offices
managed, including preparing and administering budgets.
•Provides direction and leadership in the development and
communication of policies and goals. Delegates authority to ensure the values
and culture support long-term business goals and effective utilization of human
•Maintains an active program of calling on clients,
deepening existing client relationships and prospects to achieve new business
and client retention objectives; Presents new products or creative business
concepts to team members to increase referrals, sales and cross selling by
coaching and mentoring team members directly and/or through subordinate team
•Participates in community and business functions/groups to
ensure a positive image for the bank within designated marketplace; Actively
seeks new business opportunities, demonstrating and leading the way for other
team members in the region to follow through with new client acquisition and
deepening existing client relationships by following appropriate protocols and
•Establishes, communicates and achieves service goals and
standards, ensuring communication and comprehension by all staff through active
training, coaching, mentoring, demonstrating, in all areas of relationship
management, sales, client service, professional development and Wealth
Management products and services.
•Ensures compliance with all FINRA regulations, fiduciary,
legal, regulatory and credit requirements which affect transactions and actions
taken by all team members.
•Builds and maintains internal partnerships with RBG, SME
(BBOs, BBC, SBA), CBG, and all SME's within Wealth Mgmt,i.e., Global Investment
Mgmt and Fiduciary Services, Ultra High Net Worth, Philanthropy Consulting, and
others to grow BOW client and investments/deposits.
•Prepares periodic reports as needed, Implements strategic
direction and ensures region is both poised for and achieves success.
Other Job Duties
•Responsible for the recruitment, onboarding, development,
coaching, counseling, discipline, writing and administering of performance
reviews in a timely manner and retention of assigned team members.
•Manages team members by establishing annual and quarterly
performance goals and allocating resources. Ensures adequate regional coverage
for advisory, sales and service if staffing level fluctuates.
•Manages and leads the transition over next few years of PCA
role to be lead relationship manager and be well versed in all WMG Offerings.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
•Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead
project teams multiple job areas.
•Typically has mastery level knowledge and skills within a
specific technical or professional discipline with broad understanding of other
areas within the job function.
•Requires 12-15 years minimum prior relevant experience.
•Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Finance or a
Licenses & Certifications
•Series 24, (63 and 65) or 66, 7 and full life and health
•Demonstrated competence and knowledge of all consumer and
business services and products for affluent and high net worth individuals and
related businesses; Thorough understanding of financial planning concepts,
including trust/estate planning, tax planning, investments, insurance and
custom credit; Knowledge of investment services functions including products,
services, markets, policies, procedures, practices and documentation including
accounting, financial statement and cash flow analysis.
•Demonstrated strong negotiation, presentation, planning and
organizational, interpersonal and influencing skills; Analytical and research
skills to include budgetary and financial reporting experience; Demonstrated
ability to think strategically and creatively problem solve.
•Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills to include
strategic and tactical planning, excellent oral and written communication
skills, ability to compellingly present and persuade and to talk with all
levels of individuals both in and outside of work environment.
•Outstanding customer service skills to include in-depth
knowledge of Bank products and service; Exhibit and maintain good working
relationships across the organization, build and maintain strong partnerships
within all Wealth and other Business units across BOW.
•Must be able to use, understand and work with various
technology programs, both hardware and software to include Appian, Microsoft
Dynamics, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other technological
