Arval: For the many journeys in life
About the role
We lease out around 180,000 vehicles (cars and vans) throughout the UK and typically take back around 200 each day from customers at contract end. In this exciting role, you will correctly price these vehicles, checking our information on them is accurate. With your knowledge, you will be an expert on numerous re-sale options. Understanding their specific pros and cons, you will know exactly which route to go to achieve maximum prices. For each vehicle, by manufacturer, model and condition type.
The success of our Remarketing department is a huge team effort, so in addition, you will support the team by making sure our customers are satisfied, so will step in and lend a hand whenever required.
Pay zone level B1
We are looking for someone who understands vehicles. Most importantly, what affects their prices. For this role, we are ideally looking for someone with van (LCV) expertise. Car knowledge would be great too.
Using our extensive historic data and your knowledge of the used vehicle market, you will define sale prices for vehicles offered to trade and retail customers alike. Once a price has been established it is up to you to decide whether to sell the vehicle or not. This is where your knowledge and skill will come in to play. You will work with our suppliers to ensure they inspect vehicles to our standards. Likewise with third party agents who sell vehicles on our behalf: Helping us manage our online strategy.
You will need to be methodical and accurate. Able to prioritise a heavy workload and analyse data in Excel. If you are not already comfortable with Vlookups and pivot tables, we will train you. Lastly, you will be a confident communicator who is happy to be part of a team and build lasting relationships.
