Position Purpose

•    Provide support & control to the Vanilla IRFX Business conducted under BNP Paribas
•    This role encompasses trade validation & booking in booking systems.
•    Coordinate compressions

Key Responsibilities

1. TRADE SUPPORT
•    Ensure that Rates Derivatives Vanilla are reconciled with external source (termsheets/ emails/ broker confirmations/ reuters conversation etc) and liaise with Front office to rectify discrepancies on the same day
•    Ensure that deals are properly interfaced from Front Office to Middle Office and manually book the deals in Middle Office system in the event that interface is not working
•    Post amendments, market events and cancellations
•    Resolve queries from BO and other stakeholders
•    Reconcile PV of trades between Front Office and Middle Office at the end of each day
•    Account for all daily outstanding and unprocessed trades

2. FUTURES
•    Ensure that brokered futures trades are reconciled with external source and rectify discrepancies on the same day
•    Notify relevant parties for un-cleared futures trades sent by Paris Back Office
•    Reconcile daily the Futures positions in Front Office and Back Office 
•    Monitor and notify Front Office on upcoming futures maturities
•    Account for all unmatched Futures and highlight night/late transactions transacted

3.  COMPRESSION
•    Coordinate compression with TriOptima, Capitalab, bilateral parties and etc
•    Participate and roll out new compression initiatives

4. CONTROL
•    Comply with internal and external regulatory and compliance requirements
•    Ensure all controls are in place and reconciliations front-to-back are investigated and reconciled:
i.    Emails from Back offices, Middle offices and IT are investigated
ii.    Emails from Credit Risk control are investigated
iii.    Abnormal Trading are investigated and accounted
iv.    Ensuring trades are booked timely on trade date
v.    Account for missing booking and escalate when necessary
vi.    Checking of daily reports
      
5.  Others
•    Providing solutions to new business initiatives
•    Reviewing workflow and propose enhancements to improve processes
•    Review controls are updated and reviewed regularly
•    Providing training and guidance to junior members
Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)

•    Basic knowledge in Interest Rates Derivatives products (IRS, CCS, FRA, Swaption, Bond options, Futures etc)
•    Familiar with Middle Office Support functions
•    Basic knowledge on VBA – Hands on experience to develop and modify Macro spreadsheet
•    Murex knowledge preferred
•    Responsible, meticulous, self-motivated, fast learner, positive attitude
•    Possess great team spirit but yet can work independently
•    Confident and possess good communication and interpersonal skills
•    Highly driven, resourceful and result oriented
•    Creative

Specific Qualifications Required

•    Tertiary qualification
•    Minimum 3 years relevant experience
•    Ability to work on staggered hours (9am-6pm, 11am-8pm / 8am-5pm, 10am-7pm)
•    Willing to work on public holiday on rotation basis
