About Business line/Function:

Within CIB ITO [Information Technology and Operations], the UK OPC [Operational Permanent Control] team is composed of 15 members, based both in the UK and in India, and reporting into BNP Paribas London Branch Management.

Its role is to support the following businesses and departments in managing their operational risk:

·       Global Banking [GB],

·       Asset Liability Management and Treasury [ALMT],

·       Financial Institutions Coverage [FIC],

·       Correspondent Banking [CBK])

Transversal departments (Due Diligence, Client Services, Sourcing, Outsourcing, Data Protection, Business Support Services, Stakeholder Relationships, Country Project Office, etc)

 

For Outsourcing (TPRM, Third Party Risk Management) specifically, UK OPC has a global mandate across CIB, and coordinates the Global CIB TPRM OPC setup (AMER, EMEA, APAC), in addition to managing the UK setup.

Position Purpose

The Global CIB TPRM OPC spoc is responsible to lead, implement and execute the OPC setup for Global CIB TPRM activities. This new role will ensure CIB TPRM activities benefit from the relevant support in terms of operational risk management, to meet Group and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

1.       Act as referent for OPC matters on TPRM for CIB, and in particular for the Global Head of CIB ITO Quality & Efficiency;

2.       Coordinate local TPRM OPC setups across the various regions: AMER, EMEA, UK and APAC;

3.       RCSA

·       Ensure the global CIB TPRM guidelines are applied across the various regions;

·       Define a RCSA matrix to be used across the various regions;

·       Coordinate the delivery of the TPRM RCSAs across regions, to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.

4.       Controls

·       Execute controls over Global TPRM processes managed by the 2 Global TPRM teams (the TPRM Office and the Shared Service Center);

·       Design and implement additional CIB TPRM controls as and when needed;

5.       Incidents

·       Investigate and report incidents related to third parties, as and when needed;

6.       Procedure

·       Support the management of CIB TPRM procedures;

7.       Recommendations

·       Follow-up on recommendations (regulatory, internal audit or 2LOD) and action plans related to TPRM;

8.       Other standard OPC roles

·       Participate to the relevant committees, produce and report on MIs and KRI, etc

Contributing Responsibilities

9.       Other operational risk management missions

·       Support the UK OPC team in any other mission such as: the preparation of committee slides or the inclusion of TPRM risks into Business RCSAs, the execution of controls, the investigation of incidents, etc.

·       Similarly, the CIB TPRM OPC spoc will benefit from other team members’ experience on implementing an operational risk management framework.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Must have:

·       Curiosity

·       Prior experience in managing or auditing TPRM processes

·       Ability to work with a high level of autonomy

·       Excellent written and oral communication skills, in particular to interact with Senior Management in an efficient manner

Additional relevant competencies:

·       Prior experience in managing a Permanent Control framework (RCSA, controls, incidents, procedures, recommendations, etc) and/or prior experience in audit

·       Strong knowledge of regulatory expectations on TPRM (from European (eg: EBA) and local authorities (eg: PRA))

·       Knowledge of CIB activities (eg: GB, FIC, CBK, ALMT, GM, 2S [refer to details in the introduction])

·       Ability to use Excel and Powerpoint proficiently, and to be quickly efficient using BNPP internal risk management tools (360, ORUS, etc)
