Overall Purpose of the Position

The jobholder will ensure that business processes are carried out in an efficient, controlled and timely manner whilst managing risk and minimizing losses. The person will plan and manage the resources appropriately and continuously seek to improve the effectiveness whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Responsibilities

Set-up Activity:

- Seek information in the Spanish official sources on a daily basis and inform clients through the daily bulletin;

- Check significant participations and inform affected clients;

- Check incoming messages from the market and create new corporate events in the system.

Processing Activity:

- Check stock movements processed on the previous day not properly registered in the PTI system and correct them;

- Reply to clients’ requests received by phone or email;

- Check client instructions received and process them in the system;

- Process rights purchase/sale instructions to the broker;

- Create global instructions to the market;

- Settle corporate event transactions in the system;

- Check the stock reconciliation file between the market and the Bank;

- Check the cash reconciliation in the suspensory account.

Proxy Voting Activity:

- Set up the meetings events in the system;

- Generate and send the attendance cards;

- Reconcile and pay the attendance premium (if applicable).

General Responsibilities

- To be efficient and respect the timeframes (ie: deadlines) and proactively anticipate operational issues, escalating them if required.

- To be compliant with regulatory obligations and make sure the risk is appropriately controlled and losses minimized;

- To continuously seek to optimize process flows by escalating issues;

- To be organized and communicative to work actively with the team;

- To know, understand and follow the market rules.

- To comply with internal policies, guidelines and procedures at all times, updating them if necessary.

- To work with a top quality service to maintain the high level client focus.

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

- Be client oriented with strong focus on quality of service and good sense of business;

- Be reliable, organized, meticulous and prepared to work under pressure;

- Have a focused and self-motivated approach and enjoy working in a team environment;

- Speak Spanish and English fluently;
