Role Description and purpose

To work as a Legal Counsel in the UK Legal department of BNP Paribas Asset Management, participating in the provision of Legal services to the UK business, as well as collaborating with the global legal team and practices within BNPP AM as needed.

key responsibilities

  • Drafting and amendment of agreements with clients, external service providers and others
  • Regulatory watch, communicating legal and regulatory change to the business and working on related projects as required
  • Legal research
  • Creation and maintenance of template documentation
  • Responsibility for updating records and databases, archiving/filing/processing of documents
  • Working with the rest of the team as necessary on a wide range of legal issues
  • Participate in global practices of BNPP AM Legal

Essential qualifications & experience

  • Qualified solicitor or equivalent
  • Experience gained in a legal environment
  • Understanding of Legal issues
  • Understanding of Asset Management and associated legal issues is advantageous
