Job Description Summary

The Identity Access Management (IAM) Senior Business System Administrator is responsible for the overall administration of Identity and Access Management systems, providing functional parameters for technical direction in the development and support of highly complex business systems, system applications, specifications and procedures. This Senior Business System Administrator will work closely with the IAM Technical Operations team and technology partners in the administration of multiple applications in our IAM portfolio, including user access management, privileged access management, MFA and SSO systems.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Manages the administration of Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems including: reviewing and implementing changes in system parameters and formats; ensuring hardware and software systems compatibility; and coordinating and/or modifying system parameters, improvements and/or upgrades.

  2. Oversees the formulation and definition of small project/system scope and objectives and development of detailed systems specifications from which programs will be written and that fit with the Bank's system architecture standards.

  3. Ensures change controls, compliance, risk management, business continuity activities for all business systems.

  4. As a key member of the IAM Technical Operations team, directs the evaluation of existing systems and procedures to identify deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage. Reviews the analysis, development and revisions to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.

  5. Primary liaison to business partners (internal and/or external) through coding and implementation to ensure product matches envisioned result.

  6. Counsels business partners by providing coordination and analytical assistance such as interpretation of requirements; developing detailed requirements; and system definition.

  7. Maintains updated systems documentation (including policies and procedures), SLA agreements, audit readiness, and an effective disaster recovery process.

  8. Conducts feasibility studies and recommends new or enhanced applications software to meet business needs.

  9. Develops test plans and test conditions.

  10. Tracks and reviews vendor deliverables and coordinates vendor activities as needed which may include integration of vendor tasks and contractual commitments.

  11. Performs other duties as assigned.



  1. Requires deep knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

  2. Typically viewed as a specialist within discipline.

  3. May have broad knowledge of project management.

  4. Requires 7 years minimum prior relevant experience.

  5. Thorough knowledge of Identity and Access Management business systems architecture.

  6. Thorough knowledge of programming, documentation and interface requirements.

  7. Thorough knowledge of Identity and Access Management systems hardware, software, and system administration. Experience with Oracle and SailPoint IAM technology preferred.

  8. Thorough knowledge of applications development methodologies.

  9. Knowledge of financial Banking systems preferred.
