Job Description Summary

The IAM Operations Supervisor – Access Fulfillment oversees the day-to-day user access request fulfillment processes for the Identity and Access Management team. This includes provisioning and maintenance of user access to computer applications, operating and software security systems during the full user life cycle (joiner, mover, leaver) as well as resolving access issues as identified. Direct supervision of team members, including hiring, coaching and performance documentation. Works closely with training and quality assurance team members to manage team member performance. Responsible for creating and maintaining processes that achieve a high level of operational efficiency while maintaining proper internal controls to meet the changing business needs.

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversee the development of staff to ensure utilization in other areas of the organization. Exercises authority concerning hiring, performance management, reviews, promotions, salary decisions and terminations.
  • Ensures existing operations and technical applications are performing as designed to maximize benefit of the business unit/group.
  • Analyzes departments' statistical performance information to identify potential weaknesses and areas for improvement.
  • Interacts with management on day-to-day activities and recommends opportunities for improvement.
  • Routinely reviews and revises department desk procedures and documents procedures for new user access management processes.
  • Assists in the preparation of business plans, budget and goal setting.
  • Analyzes and prepares reports for management on departmental goal achievement.
  • Researches and resolves complex operational issues.
  • Participates in projects related to existing access management systems, processes and upgrades.
  • Performs other duties assigned.



  • Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.
  • Typically requires broad job knowledge of technical or operational practices within assigned discipline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Requires 5-7 years minimum prior relevant experience.
  • Basic understanding of operating systems, application systems and security software on different platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of LAN ID administration (using Active Directory), RACF and TS mainframe utilities, Windows and Web-based computer applications.
  • Basic understanding of information security, controls and the importance of information integrity.
  • Routine request support and service oriented.
  • Developing and documenting department procedures.
