WHAT AM I ACCOUNTABLE FOR?

Managing the HR Operations Team encompassing all Business as usual (BAU) activities including frontline response to all inbound enquiries from our people in addition to supporting the ongoing evolution of our HR Function and the Business by ensuring that our policies, procedures and systems are constantly reviewed, updated and compliant. I will take responsibility for projects which can translate HR strategy and priorities into practical plans of action.

 

MY KEY TASKS

  • Management of the HR Operations team, ensuring an efficient and effective administration support to the business
  • Leading the planning and implementation of operations related projects  and manage change throughout duration of project and post implementation
  • Review the supporting processes with the HR Operations team and agree improvements as necessary
  • Responsible for all benefits schemes, including arranging of annual benefit fairs at office locations, liaising with benefit providers and CIB benefits team, oversee the annual share scheme and main point of contact for Spectrum queries
  • Completing monthly payroll and ensuring all payroll related information is processed accurately and expeditiously within the required timescales. Main contact for payroll related queries. Administration and monthly reconciliation of company pension scheme
  • Management and coordination of the annual salary review process and bonus schemes
  • Supporting the HR Director, Operations Team and HR Business Partners on various projects

MY EXPERIENCE

A passion for Customer Service and getting things right first time

Generalist HR experience with some time spent specialising in one of more HR disciplines

CIPD qualified

Evidence of strong people management skills

Excellent relationship management and influencing skills

Highly organised, methodical with strong attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple projects within strict deadlines

Experience of managing a team

MY ENVIRONMENT

Working in a confidential Human Resources office.

Normal working hours are 8.45 to 17.15 Monday – Friday; however we operate on a shift system from 8.00 to 18.00 each day. Additional hours will be required on an ad-hoc basis.

Dress code is business formal Monday-Thursday, business casual on a Friday.

  • Managing HR processes in an effective and timely manner
  • Leading and motivating a high performing team
  • Managing the individual project budgets
  • Relevant system testing  where required
  • Ensuring the Operations team keep all internal systems and tools up to date and accurate, Review the supporting processes with the HR Operations team and agree improvements as necessary
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required by my Line Manager
  • Responsible for adhering to policies, procedures, guidelines and the internal control framework established to guide the operation of your function in addition to regulatory compliance requirements
  • Ensuring adequate controls are in place to minimise risk to the Company and that these controls are operational, reviewing them as necessary to reflect any changes to procedures or the business.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

On joining the company I will attend a Company Induction which will introduce me to the different areas of the business and what they do. 

Have regular performance reviews with my line manager; this will include a mid-term and end of probationary review and regular one to one catch ups.

I will be expected to complete annual online Compliance training modules via My Development, our online training platform and will continue to receive on the job training throughout my career.
