The Head of Business Services is responsible for creating and providing the vision and strategic direction for enterprise wide Business Services which includes Corporate Real Estate, Physical Security, Corporate Services, and Location Strategy. This individual will develop and implement strategies that align with short and long term business objectives; provide strategic leadership towards establishing long term real estate and location strategy associated with retail footprint across geographies to meet the core needs of the Banks long term growth and sustainability; and support the development of business initiatives, design of current and future strategic operational plans and will bring discipline to the strategic decision making process to manage the effective us of business resources.
Responsible for the leadership of Corporate Real Estate, Physical Security and Corporate Services including Location Strategy to maximize support of the business functions.
Has direct responsibility for the development and management of the budget. Monitors variance against budget on an ongoing basis and implements actions to reduce expenses as considered beneficial.
Responsible for asset management, facilities operations, maintenance programs, constructions and capital project management; including, build-outs, space planning, capital expenditure and furniture acquisition.
Responsible for identifying a cost optimization strategy which will yield year over year expense save opportunities for the real estate portfolio in conjunction with Bank’s relocation strategies.
Counsels Business Unit leaders across the Bank on their long term business strategies in order to project, develop and influence corporate real estate needs in long term.
Creates long term strategy associated with retail footprint across geographies to meet the core needs of business.
Provides strategic leadership and direction to business lines on operational risk / expense saves in longer run.
In conjunction with regulatory guidelines, spearheads planning, requirements evaluation, site selection and services, lease negotiations and execution, staff relocations and technology integration.
Provide strategic direction to Physical Security in identifying, preventing and investigating internal and external fraud in order to minimize exposure to financial losses to include sensitive employee investigations of misconduct.
Provides leadership direction to staff throughout all phases of investigations to include establishing investigate-specific strategies, facilitating record and information technology reviews and interview approaches to subjects and witnesses.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requires 15 years minimum prior relevant experience in leading large teams and functions including Corporate Real Estate, Physical Security, Corporate Services, and Location Strategy.
Requires exceptional business knowledge and leadership capability to lead business or functional teams.
Requires technical and operational capability to define and/or oversee program design in broad area of responsibility.
Typically has broad substantive leadership experience across multiple professional disciplines within the organization.
Applies extensive business and industry expertise and provides organizational thought leadership. Requires strategic and technical capability to define and/or oversee program design in broad area of responsibility.
