Within a context of strong acceleration of Sustainable topics, products and ecosystem and in line with the commitments of BNP Paribas towards Energy Transition and pledge to fight Climate Change, the Group Data Office team is aiming at fostering the development of sustainable financing solutions at BNPP level. The ESG Data Platform will support this acceleration by providing data and applications dedicated to exploring and leverage on ESG data internally.
The mission of the Group Data Office (GDO) is articulated around four pillars:
- Setting, in close cooperation with Business Lines and Functions CDOs, the Group data vision in alignment with the Businesses’ strategies and objectives
- Operationalizing this vision in close cooperation with the Group CIO and making data actionable to drive analytics and digital transformation
- Capitalizing on the steering and animation of the Business Lines and Functions CDOs community to strengthen the data culture within the Group
- Enforcing data governance policy including adherence to BCBS 239 and personal data privacy and protection regulations
The GDO team drives the development of the ESG Data Platform, which aims at sourcing, processing and distributing the ESG data for the Businesses and Functions internally as well as hosting dedicated applications. Therefore, they can leverage on this extra-financial data in order to address their regulatory, research and business needs.
Key Responsabilities –
Within this context, we are looking a Product Owner for the applications hosted on the ESG Data Platform, two of which currently are CSRevolution and the ESG Assessment tool:
CSRevolution
CSRevolution uses internal and external mechanisms for socio-environmental performance analysis, such as client ESG scores, CSR policy results, benchmarking on targets, performance and sustainability risks, and access to market analysis reports. The platform generates comparison graphics from data from external rankings, which help analyse the socio-environmental risk profile of our clients to their competitors.
ESG Assessment tool
BNP Paribas assess the ESG profile of its clients through 3 pillars that are (i) the assessment of the company’s ESG risk management framework, (ii) the assessment of its compliance with applicable sectorial policies (both assessments are conducted through the completion of one single ESG questionnaire) and (iii) the assessment of its potential controversies.
A dedicated and internally developed tool is aiming at structuring this work and is hosted in the ESG Data Platform. It is built by the RISK teams, mainly used by Relationship Managers (RM) and developed by CIB Analytics Consulting.
