About the job

  • Belonging to GASC (Global Assignment Steering Center), as Global Mobility Team Leader – France, your mission will be to oversee and advise international assignment package calculations and related documentation.

Your Main Activities Are

  • Manage the team of global mobility advisors France (6 advisors)
    • Supervise each advisor in charge of a portfolio of international assignees, paying particular attention to technical aspects (fiscal, social, legal, etc.), including the preparation of package calculations, draft letters and estimated costings
    • Be the first point of contact for escalated queries relating to the team’s activity
    • Ensure internal delivery is in line with our SLAs and KPIs
    • Oversee annual recurring processes (compensation review process, profit sharing process, tax authorization process, etc.)
  • Advice on or handle complex cases
    • Manage complex, confidential or high profile cases, as and when required
    • Provide advice, support and guidance to internal clients (HRBPs and management) in respect of their assignments and packages, with a particular view to covering technical aspects (as above)
  • Ensure compliance with Group policy and  procedures
    • Ensure Group internal compliance requirements are respected at all times
    • Ensure application and respect of the Group’s policies and procedures
    • Oversee technical aspects (as above) and their developments to ensure compliance across the Group
  • Participate in improving processes and tools
    • Propose improvements to operations and processes of the team
    • Participate in testing of new technology releases / upgrades
    • Participate in reviews of policies and assignment-related documents
  • Collaborate with other departments or external parties as required
    • Global Assignment Steering Center in Lisbon and broader global mobility HR teams elsewhere in the Group around the world
    • Occasional contact with other internal functions (tax, legal, payroll, employee relations, etc.)
    • Occasional contact with external parties (tax and legal advisors, etc.)

Profile and Skills to Success

  • University degree
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience (HR and International Mobility will be a plus)
  • Management experience of a small team is required
  • Excellent spoken and written communication, both in French and English is required
  • Knowledge of taxation and social security general principles, must be keen to deepen and broaden that knowledge
  • Good command of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • The  Global Mobility / International Assignment function of BNP Paribas Group Human Resources is located in Lisbon, and has the ambition to be a cross-business service centre to manage corporate international policy and related operations and assignments.
