Fund Accountant – Lisbon and Oporto

ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES:

 

·         Booking of Transaction

o   Controlling and booking of business transactions, which are not centralized (e.g. securities, listed derivatives, spot- and forward transactions, dividends, coupons, subscriptions and redemptions)

o   Ensure that all transactions are integrated within the Fund Accounting System via existing interfaces

o   Controlling of static data at security level and request adjustments if needed (e.g. interest rates, pool factors, payment dates, etc.)

·         Cash Reconciliation

o   Daily reconciliation of cash accounts and escalation of issues

o   Reporting of debit balances or missing settlements

·         Position Reconciliation

o   Daily reconciliation of securities and financial instruments with custody or broker statements

o   Ensure the daily reconciliation of events between Fund Accounting System, Custody System and WM

o   Explanation of differences between Fund Accounting System and Custody System, escalation of issues

·         NAV Calculation

o   Daily net asset value (NAV) calculation

o   Ensure payment and correct calculation of fees payable by the fund (management fees, custody fees, asset manager fees)

o   Daily NAV check and validation

·         NAV Reconciliation

o   NAV reconciliation within the agreed deadline

o   Investigation and tracking of issues

o   Confirmation of price per share to be published

PROFILE:

·         At least 3 years of experience in Fund Accounting

·         Experience in the Banking, Insurance and/or Financial industry is a plus

·         Organized

·         Being customer-oriented

·         Diligence and precision

·         Ability to analyse

·         Fluent in English (mandatory)

·         German and Italian is a plus
