Position Purpose
The purpose of this position is equip Enterprise Architecture department with right talent to create topnotch architecture for our IT systems and applications that power crucial business decisions.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
BAU
・Serve as technical and data architect for projects and support Application Managers
・Work with Application / Application Portfolio Managers and Regional /Corporate Architecture counterparts to create architectural design with hands-on approach
・Create and own the documentation of architecture design and solutions
・Conduct architecture review meetings, presentations with Region /Corporate counterparts and attain approvals for the architecture solutions
・Defend design of planned systems at Regional or Corporate architectural review meetings
・Create and maintain Enterprise Architecture Department portal /repository for information management and sharing
Non-BAU
・Perform research and develop of working prototypes & PoCs to prove the concepts and present to Architecture & business leaders
・Perform solution comparisons /analyses and present the results to stakeholders
・Create technical papers outlining vision and best practices for a subject area
・Contribute to Architecture Review Board meetings with presentations & demonstrations
Contributing Responsibilities
・Contribute in creating /building local standards (Cardif Japan) that can be reused and shared across other entities
・Share your knowledge and findings within EA and across other IT teams
Business Knowledge
・Understanding and knowledge about life and non-life insurance is desirable
・Work experience in corporate companies with good understanding of BCG and no record of compliance /integrity breach
・Ability to converse in Japanese to a certain level to run day-to-day business
Technical Experience / Competencies
・5+ years professional experience as an architect (application/data) or in a similar role
・5+ years of hands-on experience in designing and building Web applications, APIs, microservices architecture (desirable)
・Familiarity with latest web technologies in the areas of API /cloud /digitization
・Knowledge /exposure to data & data analytics fundamentals and familiarity with tools & technologies
・Expertise on the overall IT eco-system’s engineering best practices, standards, architectural approaches and complex technical resolutions
・Demonstrated understanding of IT architecture in the areas of applications, cloud, and data management
・Experience in working with infra teams and knowledge on infra and h/w technologies is desirable
・Experience in working with security teams and knowledge on cyber security is desirable
