What are the scope and mandates of our department?

Within the COO teams of CIB Global Market and ALM-Treasury our main mandates are to design and validate, on behalf of ITO and Finance, end to end solutions as part of new activity or exceptional transactions. For that we can leverage on our end to end expertise.


While being an independent function, we are:
- Building strong relationships through close interactions with the Business, ITO and functions (Finance, Risks, Tax…),
- Building practical and theoretical knowledge of Front to Finance processes, teams and environments,
- Acting with a solutions provider mind-set.

We are also in charge of leading OTC mandatory clearing extensions projects for IT and operations: assessments of the impacts, definition of the roadmap and coordination of the teams.

We are covering the entire Global Market range of products and Business lines (Fixed Income, Equity Derivatives and Commodities) as well as ALM-Treasury ones.


What will be your key responsibilities?

You will have a central and transversal role in the development and validation of new activities across Business lines. You will interact with Front Office, IT, Operations, Finance and Group functions (Compliance, Risk, legal, tax…).

Your knowledge of CIB activities and past experiences will help you to propose, challenge and validate solutions. What for? To help the Business in developing its activities and to optimize its operational processes in an efficient and secured way. You will be required to represent Operations, IT and Finance by presenting your analysis of the business proposal during validation committees of new products, activities or exceptional transactions.

Reviewing the Front to Finance processes covering various support functions you will have to identify sensitive, risky processes as well as areas of improvements and to propose new processes or amendments to existing operational chains (IT developments, process changes, governance…) in agreement with the impacted teams.

Your mission will not stop there! You will also be asked to carry out studies of process chains (definition of target processes and framing of the operational setup and governance) or to lead OTC mandatory clearing projects.

Depending on your profile and appetite you may also be asked to participate in pre-project analyses: collection and explanation of the Business needs to the various stakeholders, due-diligence, feasibility studies…

All staff has strong profiles and teams have a mix of technical and consulting skills. We have a dual reporting line to IT & Operations and to Front Office.

Due to your central role and end to end vision, you will continue to learn on a daily basis and will be able to work on constantly renewed topics.

Our team has been ranked as #1 by the Business in ITO functions in a previous satisfactory survey.

Last but not least, you will be working in a pleasant and friendly environment close to Marylebone / Baker street stations.

You will be in an advantaged position which will enable you to develop your network throughout the Bank and further your understanding of the CIB Global Market Front to Finance value chain as your knowledge pool increases through your experiences of those issues raised by our business partners. This will allow you to evolve within the Group or CIB.
