About the job

  • The main mission of the Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) desk in to manage the portfolio of clients whom delegate to the bank the management of their assets
  • It provides high-end DPM services to wealthy, sophisticated and demanding private clients
  • The team services clients from different BNP Paribas WM entities (Switzerland, Luxembourg, Monaco, and Germany)

Your Main Activities Are

  • The main mission of the DPM analyst is to support the DPM Portfolio Managers from Switzerland and Luxembourg hubs, namely

    • Manage the portfolios under DPM mandate according to the investment policies and procedures
    • Adapt, apply and control the investment policies
    • Prepare the investment proposals and client reportings aimed at end clients and potential investors
    • Monitor the DPM Risk and Performance
  • Implement the Portfolio Managers´ investment decisions in the Front Office systems, making sure they are executed according to the procedures in place
  • Manage the cash available in the clients’ accounts according to the defined investment guidelines and clients’ profile 
  • Prepare the documents to support the DPM tactical asset allocations discussions and the investment strategy definition, and participate to the investment committees
  • Contribute to keep the databases that monitor DPM activities up-to-date
  • Prepare reports to clients on the performance of their portfolios
  • Prepare investment proposals to be presented to investors
  • Contribute to enhance operational efficiency and to continuously improve DPM activities

Profile and Skills to Success

  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar position or in other related financial backgrounds (financial control, product control, among others)
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent
  • High interest to develop an expertise in the investment management field
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments and markets
  • Excellent knowledge in Microsoft office tools, in particular Excel and Access, Power BI
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and listening in English
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Strong analysis capacity, rigor and accuracy, dynamism, autonomy, organization and responsibility
  • Highly oriented to results
  • Capacity to synthetize / simplify
  • Ability to adapt to a fast pace and multi-cultural environment
  • Passion, tenacity and resilience in an ever-changing context
