The Warsaw office was established in 2008 and comprises of two business lines, a dynamically growing International Operations Centre (SSC) providing asset and fund services for a number of locations across Europe and local custody & clearing business offering broker-dealers, global custodians and investment banks a full local clearing, settlement and custody solution in Poland.
For new activity within BNP Paribas Securities Services in Poland which is an exciting, dynamic and growing operation centre in Warsaw we are looking for candidates who are willing to apply for the position of:

Deputy Team Leader in FDS


Main tasks:


    Daily operations

    • Perform operational tasks from team’s remit,
    • Maintain technical and process expert knowledge to support team members in difficult cases and take ownership when necessary,
    • Validate any tasks performed by the team that require checker control,
    • Ensure that duties assigned to appropriate shift are properly and timely fulfilled according to existing procedures and checklists,


    Operational Management

    • Support Team Leader in ensuring that team’s results are fully green; e.g. SLA delivery, service quality, productivity, internal/external audit results are all exemplary,
    • Support Team Leader in setting operational goals for the team and monitor of its realization,
    • Lead by example, inspire team members, foster cooperative and positive culture,
    • Support Team Leader in ensuring that all required files and reports (e.g. KPI, KRI, BCM, BCP etc.) are updated and distributed on regular basis, department’s boards/visual management updated and service reviews meetings organized and held with business partners,
    • Support Team Leader in managing the resources of the team effectively so that changes to number of transactions, funds, new systems, new processes, new services, volume fluctuations or any other changes are dealt without any service delivery degradation. Take part in recruitment of new staff,
    • Support Team Leader in ensuring that processes are monitored properly and reviewed on a regular basis in order to increase productivity by making processes more efficient, encourage people to search for innovations and process optimization,
    • Perform, execute and materialize controls for managed operational processes,
    • Support Team Leader in efficient time management of the team to optimize overtimes and organize proper coverage of BAU during vacation periods,
    • Support Team Leader in ensuring all the applications/tools set up and access management. Participate in  applications development (manage requirements for changes, coordinate E2E and UAT tests, escalate any system issues),
    • Proactively communicate any cases that could be subject to escalation. Ensure that escalation flow is being respected.  

    People management

    • Support Team Leader in staff development and training, so that there is rich, timely and professional communication and collaboration between the team’s staff and colleagues in other locations as well as business partners, external clients and other stakeholders. Participate in organization of cross team training for the staff,
    • Support Team Leader in organization of regular staff meetings, feedback sessions, twice yearly appraisals, incident review meetings, ACE and improvement brainstorming and reviews strong industrial training induction for new staff, succession planning and career development,
    • Promote and support BP2S Values, “can do” attitude, promote social events to continuously maintain and improve team spirit. Ensure support to other teams when necessary.

    Risk and Compliance

    • Communicate and support the values and principles which govern the way staff work and behave,
    • Support Team Leader in securing, formalizing and evolving necessary controls and procedures so that operational risk is mitigated and support a constructive, supportive and learning culture is in place in relation to errors and incidents,
    • Act and behave appropriately to comply with the general ethical standards expected by the Bank and relevant Regulatory Authorities. Ensure staff’s strict compliance to BNP Paribas Group’s polices, Code of Conduct and BP2S standards,
    • Support Team Leader in ensuring that all office tools are properly managed in line with BP2S standards and policies,
    • Be responsible to manage:
      - your system accesses

      - your holidays: make sure your TETA request is validated before leaving for holidays or day off

      - your working hours - respecting the bank guidelines in term of working hours and follow team schedule set by Line Manager


    • Actively participate, prepare and coordinate internal or external projects and ensure that all the deadlines are achieved,
    • Maintain superior relationship with business partners and clients,
    • As a member of the Warsaw FDS management team contribute widely to the successful development of Warsaw BP2S and FDS service respectively,
    • Proactively support line Team Leader  in any BAU topics, crisis management, meetings and projects,
    • Substitute superior (n+1) when/if necessary.


  • Minimum 3 years of professional work experience

  • At least Specialist position within BNP Paribas Securities Services

  • Very good process knowledge within Business Unit

  • Ideally first actions taken to develop on the managerial path

  • Deep understanding of managerial responsibilities and duties

  • Fluency in English as working language
