Position Purpose

Under the direct responsibility of the FUNCT&TVL – Data Solutions Division co-Heads.  

The Chapter Lead (Development) for the Data Solutions Division will add to the needed capacity of the team to fulfill the demands expressed by Wealth Management Business. 

This Chapter Lead with specific technical expertise on data platform technologies will oversee the squads developers by providing guidance in technical solutions by working closely with technical architect and ensuring the development teams adherence to technical processes and methodology.  In addition will be to contribute to people development by team mentoring by identifying the training and development plan for each developer team member).  

The Chapter Lead is expected to work in close collaboration with the Data Solutions Delivery Manager in offshore for development capacity needs and identification of talents by providing Job descriptions and participating in the interview and selection process whenever necessary.  

The Chapter Lead will also be responsible to assess the development resources and feedback to co-Division Heads for yearly staff appraisal activity. 

•    Lead the development chapter effectively to drive the team’s project to completion.
•    Engage the development team on all technical matters (e.g. design, estimation, planning, development review of technical solution, assessment on technical impact, assessment of quality and effectiveness of the solution) 
•    Take the lead for any requirements to engage vendor consultancy and provide the right framework for the developer/vendor consultant engagement. 
•    Control and maintain the quality of the developments (norms & standards, frameworks, source control, technical reviews, code reviews) 
•    Contribute / review the technical specifications. 
•    Responsible for managing & reporting technical risks. 
•    Responsible to ensure the technical stack used by the platform are in alignment with the group standards and adhering to the group security and including platform/software obsolescence management.
•    Provide guidance to team member (people development) and evaluate their contribution/effectiveness. 
•    Participate to recruitment, onboard and train new comers whenever necessary.  Work in close collaboration with the OFFSHORE DELIVERY MANAGER.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Must possess a strong background on the following technologies/skills :

•    Strong hands on experience in  Processing Framework - Spark 2.x/3.x (Core, structured API, Streaming, MLLib)
•    Big Data Hadoop - Hortonworks HDP 3.1.x & core Components covering data engineering, management, operation stack 
•    Big Data Hadoop - Detailed Knowledge on HDP/CDH Migration to new Cloudera CDP platformData Storage – HDFS (File Format – Parquet, ORC, Avro, JSON), Hive (Schema, Partitioning) , Data Lake (Object Store), 
•    Expertise in RDBM solutions (Postgres & Oracle) 
•    NoSQL(MongoDB, HBase)
•    Access & Data Security – AD-LDAP-SAML- Kerberos-2FA IDP AuthN plus Data security through encryption, masking, filtering , anonymization
•    Access & Data Security – Tableau (Row Level Security, Access Management), Apache Ranger (Access Policy, Masking, Audit), OS Level (RHEL & Centrify)
•    Language & Package - Python (Scripting & PySpark), Scala using Spark API, Unix Shell, SQL Query (basic & advanced)
•    Data Integration tool - Informatica BDM/DEI 10.4.x, Apache Nifi (API, Kafka, JDBC based Ingestion) Data Governance - Informatica EDC, BDQ & Collibra covering Data Scanner, Catalog, Lineage, relationship, Dictionary (tech-biz)
•    Streaming Platform – Apache Kafka, Apache Nifi, Spark Streaming, Flink, Storm
•    BI Analytics – Tableau Server & Creator, QlikView, Power BI, BO
•    Advanced Analytics - RStudio, Zeppelin, Jupyter (Preferred R & Python skills)
•    Cloud – Migration to Public-Private cloud provider like IBM, AWS
•    OS & DB - RHEL, Centrify,  Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server
•    DevOps/  DataOps - Bitbucket, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, AutoSys

•    Strong Experience in Leading & guiding developers in standards process & tools used in  design, development,

Specific Qualifications (if required)

At least 10yrs of experience working in IT industry. 
Background in financial industry and exposure to Wealth Management business is a plus.
