& Transformation Team is looking for a Controls & Governance Program
Manager who will direct first line of defense activities for Digital Channel’s
initiatives across all lines of business. This role is cross functional and
requires executive presentations to various lines of business, Digital Channel
team and Growth & Transformation leadership. The successful candidate will
oversee all aspects of Digital Channel’s controls & governance framework to
maximize risk and control effectiveness while balancing the ease of use for our
customer experience. This will require
detailed analyses supported by a risk centric and control minded perspective to
ensure Level 1 controls related to Regulatory and Operational risks within the
business are defined and executed. This position will coordinate with different
internal control streams as well as various stakeholders across the enterprise
to foster best practices and avoid loopholes or overlaps. Coordination,
collaboration and stakeholder management within the Digital team, Product
Owners, various lines of business / support groups and other areas in Growth
& Transformation team are critical for success. Experience in digital product offerings and
agile methodology are highly preferred.
Essential Job Functions
- Provides a leadership role in implementing controls,
standards, policies and procedures for DCG. Analyze various digital channel’s
processes and products (existing or new), by addressing required processes
under the Operational Risk and Compliance program framework (risk
assessment, documenting controls, and implementing monitoring).
- Directs and monitors the daily, weekly, monthly, annual
and periodic activities associated with an independent Level 1 Control
function. Ensures activities are performed accurately, thoroughly, and in
accordance with regulatory, the Bank's Framework, and/or industry best
- Identifies and remains abreast of laws, regulations and
regulatory guidance related to various banking regulations (i.e., AML,
BSA, OFAC, UDAAP, FFIEC Guidance, FDIC Lending/Deposit regulations).
- Acts as the line of business subject matter expert on
Level 1 Controls. Is knowledgeable about industry best practices and
- Collaborates with other Bank units to study and
investigate issues and identify and implement solutions.
Other Job Duties
- Prepares and distributes regular/special management
reports on regulatory and operational risk compliance and the department's
activities. Compiles data for analysis or dashboards. Maintains current
knowledge of operational risk management and regulatory compliance
requirements for financial institutions. Attends professional seminars and
participates in Bank and industry operational risk management and
regulatory compliance practitioner groups.
- Participates in other Operational Risk and Compliance
projects that will impact DCG
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Requires mastery level knowledge of job area typically
obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
- May have deep knowledge of project management. Experience
in Agile Methodology preferred.
- Requires 10 years minimum prior relevant experience
- Thorough knowledge of banking operational risk
management and industry practices
- Ability to conduct, review and approve risk assessments
- Knowledgeable in digital product
offerings (online and mobile banking, online account opening and electronic
- Strong written and verbal communication and
- Ability to prepare and present risk and compliance
testing, remediation, business updates and high level presentations to
- Ability to liaise with Operational Risk, Compliance,
Legal and Audit Departments which may include responding to any and all
- Must have experience and ability to interact with
different teams and management levels.
