The Compliance Officer will, for his/her perimeter of responsibility,

-       Provide to the Head of Compliance reasonable assurance, through opinions, supervision and independent controls, that the compliance set-up is consistent with local regulatory requirements and group requirements, contributing to their implementation,

-       Report to the Head of Compliance, the entity’s Management and the Regional Compliance Officer, aggregated and individual compliance risks, specific issues and mitigation plans,

  • Support the Head of Compliance in establishing effective relationships with the regulatory and supervisory bodies of Cardif Turkey.
  • Be the Compliance preferred point of contact for business and interact with Regional and Head Office Compliance.


§   Regulatory

Based on  the regulatory watch leaded by the Legal department and for the compliance perimeter defined in the Compliance Policy, he/she will:

-       Act as expert for the implementation of new and amended regulations in Cardif Turkey, notably insurance and pension regulations except specific legal areas such as tax and labour law, ensuring the progress of compliance,

-       Report possible delays/potential breaches to the Head of Compliance, Management, the Compliance Function in Head Office,

-       Contribute to the company inside awareness about regulative requirements by announcements, trainings, regular circulars or meetings,

-       Supervise notifications to/from Undersecretariat of Treasury and Turkish Insurance Association,

-       Ensure coordination with the auditors for legal regulatory audits, with active role in the audit process, supervision in the process for implementing audit recommendations, related follow up and reporting to Head of Compliance.

§    “Client Interest Protection”

Being the local specialist in this domain, he/she will:

-       Provide continuous support and guidance to the Business teams for designing or reviewing new or existing sales models/product developments consistent with regulatory requirements and Group requirements,

-       Contribute to implement and maintain a PIC framework/governance consistent with Group requirements (advise, decision committees, controls, prevention of any conflict of interest cases, complaints monitoring and reporting…)

§    “Professional Ethics”

-       Being the local compliance specialist, he/she will contribute to implement and maintain a professional ethic framework consistent with Group requirements (code of conduct, gift and invitation, personal transactions of employees, whistleblowing…),

§    “Market Integrity”: he/she will be the local compliance specialist

§   He/she will contribute to implement and monitor FATCA and AEOI processes

§   Background and technical skills

-       Min University – Licence Degree (Preferably Legal background)

-       Min 7 years experience in insurance sector, with background in compliance, legal or audit (Preferably multi-national companies)

-       Good knowledge of the applicable regulatory framework and its evolutions

-       Fluent in English (spoken and written)
