Client Engagement & Business Development Manager

The role

BNP Paribas Real Estate is looking for a hands-on, self-motivated, entrepreneurial individual to join us and develop our client engagement programme. This newly created role is suitable for somebody with a proven track record in marketing, business development and key account management. You will be required to undertake business planning, managing key client retention and growth programmes; as well as driving cross selling and referrals across business lines.

There is plenty of room for this role to grow and evolve as the business continues to implement its CRM system. Overlaying trends/insights and sectors to pipeline and client relationship management will be very useful; and of course data integrity being key to success of role.

Splitting your time across BNPPRE and Strutt & Parker, this role will report in to the Marketing Director (Commercial), working closely with client data, marketing, bids, events and digital colleagues; as well as senior leaders and fee earners from across Commercial, Rural, Residential business lines.

Key deliverables

Your primary responsibilities will involve business development and client acquisition across the business including:

  • Responsibility for strategically devising and implementing the company's client engagement programme, closely monitoring performance against metrics, mitigating risks as appropriate.
  • Playing an integral role in the adoption of the company’s CRM platform.
  • Define, implement and manage the company's referral and cross selling programme. Including making the absolute most relationships with the wider real estate group across Europe and the Bank.
  • Creating and executing business development plans for key targets in order generate new opportunities, working with the fee earners to up-sell existing clients and attract target clients utilising fresh and innovative approaches.
  • Mapping and managing local client strategies and relationships around focus areas and sectors.
  • Rolling out and monitoring a client satisfaction programme, assessing and communicating (as appropriate) feedback and taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Working closely with client database and events colleagues to create accurate invitation lists, ensure the execution of high quality client events and demonstrate ROI.

Roles and responsibilities

  • You will implement and deliver a successful client engagement programme by working across multiple sectors, educating and engaging with fee earners.
  • Drive client engagement methodology, standards/practices, processes and technology solutions to enhance the capability and effectiveness of the organisation.
  • Leading the business in a number of business development initiatives to strengthen existing relationships with clients and win new business.
  • Communicate key account management plans and manage client content.
  • Create guidance documents and deliver training to business lines on successful client engagement.
  • Adhere to compliance and related legislations relating to client relationship management.

Financials

  • Manage budget, with accurate planning, interrogation and monthly reporting.
  • A track record in interrogating and analysing financial information about clients to inform plans and set metrics.

Systems and Process

  • Experience using CRM systems and client marketing platforms.
  • ​Proficient user of MS Teams and social media

Essential qualifications and experience

  • Equivalent experience in a relevant field or educated to degree level
  • Experience within property or property services environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, business development, CRM, key account management.
