Change Analyst – Trading Book P&L Group

In the context of a change programme on the improvement of Economic Profit and Loss (P&L) of Global Markets (GM), a new business function is being put in place under the Finance department called “Trading Book P&L Group”, with the main below responsibilities:

Drive the continuous improvement of the Official P&L and P&L Explaiproduction chains in terms of operational efficiency and data quality

Conduct the 2nd level of control on P&L and P&L Explain production, with the mandate of carrying any ad-hoc investigations or complementary controls, with the objective to suggest and/or drive improvements of upstream processes and controls

Develop the capacity to perform an independent analysis of the GM revenues (P&L Explain) within Finance for Management, Regulators and possibly External Communication

Coordinate the answers regarding questions on trading P&L coming from Auditors and Regulators

ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Follow-up and drive of the initiatives on operational processes & controls improvement and P&L and P&L Explain data quality in a project mode
  • Preparation of a monthly committee chaired by the team with participants from GM, RISK, Finance, Operations and IT

PROFILE

  • Required level of education: Engineering or Business school, University Graduate, Master level in Finance or Financial Markets
  • Experience in Investment Banking including audit and consultancy firms in a change function (Business or IT project management) or operations

  • Working Experience in an international environment appreciated

  • Capital Market activities knowledge

  • Knowledge and understanding of Front to Back operations of an Investment Bank

  • General knowledge of Financial markets instruments across asset classes

  • Understanding of trading P&L and P&L Explain is a real plus

  • Strong communication skills, ability to lead a meeting to concrete conclusions and next steps

  • Ability to understand and drive change

  • Ability to define relevant key performance indicators that help drive operational and data quality improvement

  • Self-starter and team player, able to work independently and collaboratively with various teams in a deadline-focused environment

  • Advanced English

  • MS Office Excel

  • Python coding is a plus
