Business Risk & Control Manager

Business Transformation/Operational Permanent Control – Swindon/Hybrid

About the role

As a Business Risk & Control Manager, you’ll be working closely with business leaders and their management teams (1st Line of Defence) to ensure risks are effectively identified, managed, and reported in line with control frameworks.  As a financial services business, and being part of BNP Paribas Group we have a robust risk & control framework, and your key purpose will be to support and oversee business operation of this framework - Ensuring stakeholders understand the value and importance of risk management, whilst enabling optimal business performance. 

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

·        Business partnering with senior leaders and their management teams

·        Conducting risk assessments and control tests

·        Managing incidents, and putting measures in place to prevent reoccurrence  

·        Producing and presenting monthly and quarterly reports, and business updates

What’s in it for you?

This role is comes with a salary of up to £55,000 depending on skills, knowledge, and experience, and being at pay zone level B2, an additional bonus of up to £4,600.

We have a hybrid approach to working, which means you can split your time between our office in Swindon and home once you are fully up to speed.

About You

You have a sound understanding of operational risk management, control frameworks, most likely in a regulated industry or an environment with robust governance and controls in place.  In addition to technical knowledge of operational risk and controls, you have good interpersonal and communication skills and are capable of operating as a trusted advisor and business partner. 

Key skills & knowledge required:

·        Knowledge of operational risk management, governance, and control frameworks

·        Understanding of 3 lines of defence

·        Capable of managing competing priorities

·        Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
