Bonds Trade Support Analyst

About the job

  • This role is within the Fixed Income Bonds Middle Office, and it will be integral to the role to work closely with the Sales & Trading teams, Back Office, Operations and Client Services globally. Officer will be a point of contact for the Business and Operations on new initiatives, structures, and projects with regards to Bonds, ETF, Synergy and Convertible Bonds

Your Main Activities Are

  • Participate in training of new and junior members of the team
  • Monitor team KPIs and produce weekly and monthly analysis
  • Participate in Transversal projects
  • Monitoring of trades exception queues for Bonds, CB’s, Stocks, Synergy and ETF’s using a number of different in-house systems (STAR, APEX, TOOT (BLOTTER) CB MONITOR, ICI, and Calypso)
  • Identifying if processes are not working as they should and suggest to team leader any changes that should perhaps be made.
  • Responsible for manually inputting LCH and Clearnet trades into EASYWAY
  • Responsible for manually inputting Tri-party trades in ICE
  • Responsible for manually inputting Tri-Party and collateral pledges within LCH Portal
  • Identifying any gaps in controls and make practical recommendations to the team as well as team leader
  • To be pro-active, answer and resolve all queries arising from clients, traders, salespersons, other middle office departments, settlements, Client Service globally and to deal with issues in a timely manner
  • Responsible for Reporting to UK DMO Gilts Auctions {GEMM} report
  • Responsible for ensuring all UK Government bonds are correctly booked and reported to the LSE. Any exceptions are raised immediately to the relevant Trading Desk and if necessary, Compliance
  • To ensure that all daily tasks, as outlined in the Deal Processing Team London procedures document, are completed efficiently and on a timely basis and that procedures are comprehensive and up to date in Orus as well as SHAREPOINT To contribute towards ensuring all bond redemption trades /corporate action trades are booked
  • To be flexible in cross training all areas of the department
  • Ensure that any DMO Regulatory reporting (ISE, Hungarian, and Belgium) is reported correctly and in a timely manner ensuring all deadlines are adhered to.
