Job responsibilities:

 

 Key internal consulting role to support the Bank's Agile and DevOps initiatives. The Test Automation Architect will be part of the Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) team and serve as a domain expert in defining and rolling out standard Automation Frameworks, processes, best practices for the enterprise and Automation Strategies for systems across the organization. Design, develop and maintain Automation testing architecture and ensure the implementation of the same for different products and applications across the enterprise.

 

 -Define and document the QA automation processes, best practices, automation frameworks and roll out to different projects across the enterprise.
-Analyze current state of testing and requirements for automation.
- Evaluate and select test automation tools for different products and applications.
-Develop a roadmap and detailed implementation plan for test automation.
-Provide expertise and guidance to the team implementing test automation.
-Collaborate with project teams to strategize & align long term solution for automation including roadmap, tools, framework & approach.
-Define automation processes to fill the gaps between the as-is processes and industry standard best practices and pilot the same on selected projects.
-Create white papers, technical documentation and make presentations to communicate QA automation processes to project teams and testers.
-Provide guidance, training and mentoring to project teams and test engineers for the implementation of testing automation processes and best practices as needed.
-Conduct Automation Brown Bag Sessions, trainings, marketing and socialization across the bank.
-Audit enterprise projects for compliance with agreed upon QA automation processes and standards.
-Evaluate and utilize available tools in the enterprise and formulate best usage.
-Develop Automation feasibility reports for different applications and systems based on the technical analysis, complexity and reusability.
-Ensure adherence to the EQA-TCoE Automation testing processes and standards.
-Develop Automation Dashboards and formulate KPIs to highlight automation and determine improvement opportunities.

Required Experience
-10+ years of experience in Information Technology field, focusing on Quality Assurance and Automation Testing.

-Expertise with Automation Testing tools like HP Quality Center, HP QTP/UFT, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Java Scripting, VB Scripting, WebServices, SoapUI
 -8+ years of experience in design and development of Automation frameworks and Automation Testing Strategies for large scale applications.
-Responds appropriately and competently to the demands of work challenges when confronted with changes, ambiguity, adversity, and other pressures.
-Assumes responsibility for effectively meeting objectives, motivates self to get the job done, performs job duties in an organized, accurate and productive fashion, seeks out and is open to knowledge, ideas and feedback to improve effectiveness, and holds self-accountable for following policies, guidelines, and procedures.
-Ability to influence a team of technical resources, mentor/coach and train resources  on Automation
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
-Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
-Effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to document automation framework, test harnesses, coding principles & standards.
-Effective time management skills, prioritization of tasks and own time

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
