About Businessline/Function :
The Global Markets business of BNP Paribas helps its corporate and institutional clients leverage capital markets across the globe for their financing, risk management and investment needs. This encompasses a wide range of financial products ranging from Foreign exchange to complex Equity Derivatives that are traded in financial markets across the globe 24/7. IT systems are integral to the business and are a key part of the value proposition to clients. These IT systems range from industry standard products for standard process automation to internally developed, often, market leading IT applications. The IT teams owning these IT systems are made up of functions that include Technical and Application production support, Business Analysis & Project Management, Development & Maintenance and Quality Control. In the context of Global Markets – UBIX – Listed Derivatives caters to the Listed Derivatives Back Office worldwide. The project develops and maintains applications used by the users and provides end to end support.
Provide eminent support to all users of all application system in a timely and efficient manner. Liaise with the developers and business analysts to communicate issues raised by the business. Communicating with the global team to resolve issues. Maintain a knowledge base regarding support issues and their resolution using SharePoint or other collaboration tools. Build a working knowledge of the systems and business area in order to provide a high level of support. Reconfiguring various existing setups in order to improve the efficiency of the system and to cohere to business requests. Track issues effectively using ITIL approved methodology (Incidents, Problems, Requests and Changes). Preparing environments for releases and ensure that the implementation and pre-production tests are carried out. The system which team supports are classified as Tier 1 (business critical) which requires very flexible approach to work, as we have to support the systems as well as undertake project work. Within the broader team we support an overnight batches that performs the official end-of-day, night batches performing clearing and settlements for various markets. Also generating, transferring reports to various downstreams and regulatories.
Operating on EMEA Based hours to support the business in APAC and EUROPE. This involves rotational shifts that works early from 05:30-06:30 am IST and the late shift starting from 12:30-01:30 pm IST. The successful candidate will be expected to Perform system checks, Pro-actively monitor and improve availability and performance of the production environments globally, Deployment of applications in Staging & Production environments, contribute in weekend checks and coordinate with the teams in Europe, NAR. Coordinate with other internal teams, clients and vendors in order to respond to incidents and resolve issues promptly to restore normal services to the business. Ensure root-cause analysis have undertaken for all incidents. Manage problem and action tickets. Perform BAU tasks with eminent quality in incident management.
