Responsibilities:
  • Prepare credit proposals for corporate counterparties, including thorough financial analyses, transaction summaries, industry research, projections, and recovery analyses.
  • Propose a bank-wide credit rating and recovery rate for each counterparty.
  • Monitor the ongoing performance and credit quality of assigned portfolio names.
  • Coordinate the credit approval process with coverage team, various product groups, and risk department to ensure an efficient turnaround.
  • Execute the necessary steps involved in the closing process for new facilities and amendments.
  • Maintain electronic credit files of assigned portfolio for regulatory purposes.
  • Assist credit manager in the mentoring of junior members of the team.
  • Lead the workflow / deal-team on complex or franchise-building transactions.
 

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or economics. (MBA a plus).
  • 4-7 years of experience in a financial analyst/corporate banking role
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of various banking products and credit analysis skills  
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and concisely
  • Financial Modeling skills
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a team to meet tight deadlines

 
Preferred qualifications:
  • Formal credit training a plus
 
FINRA Registrations Required: 
  • Series 79/63 (can be obtained post-hire)
