Job Title: Global Markets Regulatory IT Transversal Business Analyst
Location: Infinity IT park, Mumbai
Department Overview:
The Global Markets department serves corporate and institutional customers in accessing capital markets with financial product & solutions expertise cutting across Fixed Income, Equity Derivatives and Commodities.
IT is the back bone of the Global Markets business and is a key enabler for its continued success.
Global Markets IT is spread over multiple locations to serve the bank's global needs. India is a key hub for IT activities with teams in Mumbai and Chennai. IT development is executed in an integrated environment wherein IT application owners are based physically close to sponsors and developers, business analysts & testers are spread across the globe working as one team using the latest digital tools.
The ISPL Global Markets IT Development department primary function is to support, maintain, and enhance the set of applications that serve the Global Markets Business Lines. The IT Department has its main presence in France / UK / India, and more widely in Asia Pacific, Europe and Americas.
Typical Department activities:
  • Develop new enhancements as requested by the business: Client and Sales facing, Trading, Operations (Middle/Back Office). 
  • Projects can be in the form of new financial products, improving functionality, responding to a digital initiative, building our target IT architecture, reacting to audit points, regulatory requirements etc.
  • Maintenance – bug fixing, intra-day and overnight support.
The Global Markets IT department is looking for an IT Transversal Business Analyst who will be responsible for coordinating and delivering changes within the Regulatory Transaction Reporting stream.
Purpose and scope of the job:
  • To take responsibility for coordinating the end to end delivery of changes touching the Reporting of transactions across multiple regulations (ESMA, CFTC, HKMA to name a few).

  • Responsible for gathering requirements from the business (mainly through the CMI team) and operations, delivering transversal IT business analysis and follow changes through actual delivery with relevant application team representatives (BA/Dev/application team managers with representation across multiple countries).

  • Responsible for coordinating and reporting of the project and project team (Business Analysts, Developers, Testers), in collaboration with PM partners based in Paris/London.

    Typical activities include:
  • Work closely with the Business, Operations and the Transversal regulatory BA team to agree priorities with an ROI based approach. 
  • Organise and prioritise the work for the various teams involved in Transaction Reporting deliveries with a strong focus on the Reporting Layer team.
  • Identify and manage the dependencies between the various contributing teams for a successful End to End delivery.
  • Work with the End to End test team to define the test strategy, coordinate, plan and validate their contribution.
  • Performing some Transversal Business Analysis on transaction reporting topics
  • Monitoring the project progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate.
  • Management and analysis of issues.
  • Ensure the deliveries are to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the project plan.
  • Communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Manage the risks to the projects successful outcome.
  • Report progress of the project at regular intervals to the Steering committee.
  • Track the project resourcing and the project cost.
  • Formalise the project documentation according to the standard project lifecycle in place in the organization.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Contribution to projects in structured Framework (CMMI, Prince2, Agile or similar)
  • Strong writing skills, familiar with Excel, MS Project
  • Good communicator / Interpersonal Skills / ability to engage with multiple teams
  • Business Analysis Skills
Previous Experience Required:
  • Experience of managing multiple parties including Sponsors, Development Managers and Development teams across different time zones.
  • Experience in working within an environment with high pressure on timeliness and quality of deliveries.
  • A strong level of autonomy is required, as well as pro-activeness and curiosity.
  • At least 3 year experience in Capital Markets
  • Experience in Trade Processing and Trade Life Cycle in Capital Markets
  • Previous exposure to Regulatory projects, and strong understanding of transaction reporting is essential
