CIB Consulting team is the opportunity of taking part in the transformation of CIB by developing your competences into Consulting and management of strategic project, within a dynamic team.
CIB Consulting is an internal team of Consulting to the rapid growth and the only position within CIB. It constitutes a credible alternative at the external consultancies and suggests solutions custom-tailored and tailored with the environment of CIB. Team brings together 20 former consultants and operations which work narrowly with the Metier teams and our teams APAC (office opened in 2011) and Americas (office opened in 2013).
CIB Consulting intervened on more than 180 assignments conducted within CIB.  Our projects comprise in general:
  • An involvement on all the phases of the project management (analyses, design, structuring of the solutions, recommendations, assistance of the implementation)
  • Diversified contents (organisational and/or strategic projects linked with the Business Lines of CIB and more specialized subjects)
  • Cross-disciplinary subjects, which imply several participants and various contributor/players (through various Business Lines or functions)

In the framework of its development, expansion, growth, CIB Consulting recruits candidates motivated in join its teams in Lisbon in order to assist the Paris CIBC teams.


The role offered is to work within a Global Programme Management team in charge of a large scale programme of Transformation of the Corporate and Institutional Banking of BNP Paribas





The selected candidate will be responsible for performing the following duties in their day to day:
Data Analysis and Independent view
  • Takes responsibility for the accuracy of the data for the programme, data coming from a number of different sources (from project/initiatives project managers, from finance, from the Global Programme Management team, etc). Any activity that takes place will include data outputs that need capturing, controlling, improving, reporting and analysing.
  • Acts as an interdependent and independent watcher, monitoring activity across the projects to provide a rolled up programme view.
  • Is proactive in proposing Dashboards/monitoring tools improvements.
  • Works through different options taken, analysing them for pros and cons, instigating pilots with users and testing.
  • Participates to understanding of functional requirements, and reduce requirements to design specifications for monitoring tools/ dashboards, etc.


Support to project/programme delivery

  • Prepares and supports workshops / meetings and draws up the minutes
  • Is proactive in proposing recommendations / solutions and provide constructive input
  • Supports interviews (preparation and participation) and provides insightful results
  • Contributes to programme presentation,
  • Acts as a facilitator by interacting with people to ensure good quality of data, planning development and risks management
  • Manages own work to deliver according to project schedules; be accountable for delivery

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering
  • Previous experience in an investment banking and/or strategy consulting will be appreciated
  • Is able to manage data, to successfully execute quantitative analysis / modelling
  • Proficient in MS Excel (quantitative analysis, modelling) and MS PowerPoint is required
  • Advanced level of VBA is mandatory  
  • Fluent in English is mandatory
  • Fluent in French is a plus
