responsible for:

·         assisting the local head of credit analysts managing a team of credit analysts, acting as a facilitator in operational aspects of the credit process locally

·         conducting the counterparty and credit risk analysis of a portfolio of clients and selecting the adequate credit process flow




·         To ensure and improve the overall quality of the Counterparty and Credit risk analysis conducted by the team of credit analysts team in line with the required CMS guidelines and quality standards

  • To act as direct contact for the Credit Departments in Paris/Brussels and as an interface amongst the different participants of the Credit Process: within CIB, CTBE and Retail Banking networks, others poles and Global Risk Management
  • To complete Credit proposals of a portfolio of clients & of prospects compliant with CMS Guidelines and quality standards and the Bank internal policies, ensuring, jointly with the Originator/Relationship Manager, the timely production of the file to be decided in Credit Committee
  • To ensure the follow up of client exposure and to monitor global credit risks the Bank undertakes on these clients, selecting the adequate credit process flow and monitoring the workflow in daily filling in a local pipeline 
  • To assume the day-to-day responsibilities of the Head of Credit Analysts in his/her absence, supervising the work of the Credit Analysts and deciding upon the most efficient use of available resources




COUNTERPARTY & CREDIT RISK ANALYSIS:  The primary responsiblities include:


  • Together with the Local Head of Credit Analysts, responsibility for reviewing the Credit proposals completed by the Credit Analysts:
    • Guaranteeing that CP content is in line with CMS guidelines and quality standards and that the file recommendation is relevant
    • Guiding the Credit Analysts on a day-to-day basis in all areas of credit analysis
    • Acting as a direct contact for files passing to Brussels/Paris Credit Committee


·         Directly in charge of completing complex credit proposals




  • Assist the Credit Analysts selecting the right process flow depending on the level of decision (Local, Pilot, Region or HO) and the type of Coverage (IBE, Strategic Coverage, CTBE)


  • Organize the presentation of the files well ahead of Credit Committees, jointly with the Relationship Manager/ Originator of the deal, alerting management on all hot topics regarding credit issues


  • Fill in a local pipeline on a daily basis to allow for the credit proposal workflow to be monitored and alerting management on the bottlenecks that are slowing the process


  • Participate to the continuous improvement of the credit process efficiency by proposing solutions or areas for improvement when necessary




·         As required, contributing to any other portfolio or risk reporting needs such as:  portfolio exposure reporting, sector analysis, RPC and watch list processes.


  • Identifying training needs and, together with the Local Head of Credit Analysts:
    • Define the specific programme / seminar to be followed
    • Organise one off seminar on specific issues


  • Assuming further responsibilities and activities delegated by the Local Head of Credit Analysts

  • Degree in Finance and/or Economics and/or accounting with a strong knowledge in financial analysis under several standards (US-Gaap, IFRS, local…)
  • Minimum of 5 years in a Credit Analyst position
  • Experience in team management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Corporate Banking environment, BNPP Credit Process organisation and internal products and tools
  • Clear understanding of general and BNPP banking issues, especially liquidity management, risk policies and regulation
