Business Overview:

The IT Transversal Team is part of the Information Technology Group who works simultaneously on a wide range of projects arising from business, strategic initiatives, regulatory changes and reengineering of existing applications to improve functionality and efficiency. 


As part of the Intermediary Holding Company Project, a number of dedicated resources are required in order to address enhancements and modifications to the existing framework.


The Intermediate Holding Company (“IHC”) program structured at the U.S. level across poles of activities of BNP Paribas provides guidance, supports the analysis, impact assessment and drives adjustments of the U.S. platform’s operating model due to the drastic changes introduced by the Enhanced Prudential Standards (“EPS”) for Foreign Banking Organizations (“FBOs”) finalized by the Federal Reserve in February 2014, implementing Section 165 of U.S. Dodd-Frank Act.


  • Analyze user requirements, business processes, and functional specifications in order to develop technical specifications for IT
  • Must be able to query large amounts of data from the data warehouse using SQL Developer for data analysis and must know what a star schema is

  • Act upon guidance given by FPO/Finance to ensure product related data is properly transformed, mapped and loaded to OFSAA staging area

  • Ensure data is properly reflected in the OFSAA results area, ready for consumption by additional reporting tools

  • Coordinate SIT and participate to the validation of enhancements in preparation for UAT

  • Liaise with the users for User Acceptance Testing and migration testing up to successful delivery of end product

  • Liaise with counterparts in business groups, functions, other IT teams as well as other workstreams within the IHC program while complying with deliverable delivery and project implementation schedule

  • Coordinate and resolve issues raised by the work group. Escalate issues to the PMO management team

  • Be able to perform adhoc analysis and prepare decks for presentation purposes

  • Lead and set up meetings with stakeholders based on responsibilities provided by the PM

  • Assist with maintaining system architecture diagrams in the Abacus application


  • 5 or more years of experience working as a sql developer and business analyst

  • Strong Oracle PL-SQL/Transact Microsoft SQL Server/Sybase experience with understanding of star schemas, dimension and fact tables. Strong analytic SQL skills (ex: dense, rank, connect by, connect by path)

  • Experience with the OFSAA platform architecture or any large scale corporate data warehouse

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills

  • Strong analytical and technical skills

  • Experience working on multi-faceted projects and/or work experience with business analysis and application testing, preferably at a large Financial institution with both Corporate Banking and Broker Dealer activities

  • Experience with data warehouse implementations, system implementations, migrations and enhancements 

  • Strong knowledge of IT process changes (change control, database structure, technical testing, and production migration)

  • Understanding of accounting schemes for financial products.

  • Must be able to wear many different hats in this role from the perspective of a JR PM, BA, Functional Analyst, Data Analyst

  • Strong with Excel, MS Project, Powerpoint, Visio

  • Hands on experience with DEV, Unit, SIT and UAT testing

  • Must be motivated to learn, team player, be proactive, take on responsibilities and ownership
