Role Overview:
The Project Manager/Compliance Requirements Liaison will be responsible for the implementation of the modules for the Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) Tool. This is a major, multi-year investment for all US operating entities (and will – in subsequent releases cover Canada and Latin America) and fundamental to the Americas Compliance Transformation Program. The GRC Tool will serve as the system of record for all the information and activities related to Compliance risk management and will include but not be limited to modules which cover: policies, procedures, regulations, laws, risk assessments and control testing information.
The successful candidate will implement the specific modules of the GRC Tool. It is critical the implementation is completed within budget, on schedule and with the support of key stakeholders. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with IT, business users and others on the implementation of the GRC tool. The implementation of each module will include the gathering of business requirements, functional specifications reviews, user acceptance testing, set-up and roll-out activities.

Development of Use Cases
  • Ability to understand and document the key processes related to the target area of a specific module of the GRC Tool
  • Develop use cases related to the key processes for the target area of a specific module of the GRC tool
  • Obtain agreement on common processes and workflows
Review Use Cases with Business Users
  • Demonstrate use cases in GRC Tool sandbox environment to Compliance  users to identify gaps versus their requirements
  • Document the gaps and work with IT on potential solution alternatives
Design and Build Reviews
  • Review the proposed functional specifications document and provide feedback
  • Confirm customizations with Change Control Committee (to be established within the Project governance framework)
  • Participate in  pilots and/or prototypes to help optimize  the proposed builds
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Review and develop test scripts for UAT and ensure it covers all use cases
  • Coordinate the UAT with Compliance  users and obtain sign-offs
Set-Up & Roll- Out Activities
  • Support data migration activities for historical and other reference data
  • Ensure all business configurations including taxonomy are  in place
  • Support the development of training materials and assist with training sessions
Ongoing Support & Maintenance
  • Provide user support for Compliance  users and IT  in case there are  system problems which require specialized expertise
  • Manage enhancement projects which entail new or changes to existing requirements

Must Have Requirements:
  • Degree in Business, Finance or other relevant field, Computer Science knowledge is an added advantage
  • 5+ years’ experience in management of large projects and solid grasp of information technology concepts and processes (such as User Acceptance Testing and the like)
  • Good verbal & written communication, including ability to facilitate meetings with many people
  • Attention to detail, strong problem solving skills and excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work well with others across different functions, office locations, time zones and globally
  • Knowledge of financial services and familiarity with banking operations
  • Knowledge of data/content management (e.g., data quality, metadata, data governance, etc.)
  These Qualifications would be helpful but are not mandatory:
  • Specific experience with any of the Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) tools in the external marketplace
  • Understanding of the multiple business units of BNP Paribas
  • Business process improvement experience, like with workflow tools, Lean and Six Sigma
  • Global experience, ability to work with people outside the USA
