Business Overview:
The Third Party Risk Control Unit will be responsible for Identifying and assessing risks relating to the operational and business management processes of BNP Paribas. This includes policy, governance, risk management, reporting and ownership of the Third Party Risk Tool.
This role will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential/recognized risks related to operational, business administration, and third party endeavors, engaging business areas to raise awareness and recommend measures to prevent loss and mitigate exposure, and developing analytics and reporting for senior management.
  • Provide support to TPRA office and SMEs in various areas to ensure risk management process is effective
  • Assist business lines in identifying and escalating potential areas of risk
  • Day-to-day management of risk activities for the TPRM office
  • Provide suitable updates to management on the status of ongoing work and collaborating effectively with other teams to ensure they receive a coherent service
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the third party risk management database
  • Collaborate with business areas to ensure visibility and understanding of key vendor risk areas
  • Evaluate and document residual risks prior to contract execution
  • Generates compliance and risk metrics and provides reporting to the VRM Advisory Board and OpCo
  • Support sourcing managers in conducting and validating vendor risk assessments
  • Conduct periodic segmentation validation
  • Establish:
    • VMP performance metrics and periodic review process
    • Vendor Monitoring measures including incidents reporting
  • Monitor information quality, management and access for VRM activities
  • Maintain:
    • Segmentation, risk assessment tools and due diligence requirements and processes
    • Database of vendor risk management activities (short term) and VMT (long term)
    • Contract database to support reporting
  • Assure appropriate documentation is recorded in the VMT (e.g., risk filtering and assessment results, due diligence materials)
  • Update the relevant policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with the SMEs and Risk Management in refining segmentation and risk filtering tools to reflect overall enterprise requirements


  • Preferred experience working in the  financial industry, and in project management, negotiation, vendor relations, implementing procedures & process improvements, performance metrics and reporting (2 – 4 years of relevant experience).
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
