Business Overview:

BNP Paribas’ Financial Institutions Coverage division (FIC) is a product-neutral group dedicated to the coverage of financial institutions (banks, insurance companies, asset managers and governments). FIC is specifically in charge of:

Ø  Managing client relationships on a global basis

Ø  Identifying new industry trends and related client needs

Ø  Working closely with our product specialists in delivering tailored solutions to our clients across the full product suite (debt capital markets, derivatives, transactional banking, advisory and structured solutions)

Ø  Establishing and nurturing regular contacts at all levels of the client organization in order to develop long term business relationships

 

The successful candidate will work closely with FIC Senior Bankers who cover  a variety of clients primarily in the Bank, Insurance, official institutions and Financial Sponsor sectors.

 

Responsibilities:

Ø  Develop an in-depth knowledge of all portfolio clients and their respective industry sub-segment.

Ø  Identify, in conjunction with the Senior Bankers, issues that clients may face from implementation of regulatory directives/company financial dynamics and capital markets trends.

Ø  Develop product/organizational knowledge and be alert for opportunities to apply product specific solutions across the client portfolio.

Ø  Provide regular updates on industry, company specific developments and market events.

Ø  Preparing FIC Briefing memos, support memos for Senior meetings and annual reviews

Ø  Using or building financial models

Ø  Actively work on new transactions with product partners.

Ø  Create statistical exhibits that analyze comparative financial performance

Ø  Analyze financial and operating information relating to financial information relating to our clients and the sectors in which they operate.

Ø  Run RAROC models and prepare RAC memos

Ø  Source, retrieve and analyze internal and external research and incorporate into marketing materials

Ø  Prepare pre-meeting briefing materials, attend client meetings and be actively involved in follow up discussions

Ø  Actively contribute to all special projects

Ø  Assist on KYC


 

 

 

 

Required Qualifications:

Education:

Ø  Business Undergrad with specialization in Finance.

 

Experience:

Ø  1 to 3  year experience in the financial industry.

Ø  Knowledge of the banking, insurance and asset manager industries would be an asset.

 

Technical Knowledge:

Ø  Knowledge of financial analysis techniques.

Ø  Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills

Ø  Capacity to write reports, analyze, summarize, argue and take position.
