Essential Job Functions

  • Develop appropriate documentation related to the systems and data architecture (30%)
  • Develop the physical design of the system and coordinate with the IT functional groups to specify the hardware, software and network connectivity for the production and test environments (30%)
  • Collaborates with business functional groups in analyzing and evaluating business requirements; develops and manages the logical and functional design of the system (20%)
  • Acts as a consultant to the development team in providing an appropriate solution and resolve design conflicts (10%)
  • Provide status to the work-stream lead as well as manage and escalate issues (10%)

Required Education or Equivalent Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 7+ years of experience


Required Experience


Application Monitoring and Reporting. Monitor critical business transactions as specified by the Client, with appropriate time intervals, alert thresholds, and event actions. Maintain an application monitoring methodology through effective test script creation, application monitor configuration and deployment. Ensure that incident alerts are generated and routed to the appropriate recipients. Ensure that performance and availability trend reports are available to application owners and users. Work closely with application and support teams to identify and prioritize application monitoring requirements and on-board additional applications for monitoring. Ensure that APM tools are integrated and leveraged to best meet the banks monitoring and reporting needs.
Assistance with Problem Management. Provide data to assist in real-time and historical troubleshooting of performance and availability issues.
Infrastructure Resource Monitoring. Monitor resource utilization trends of infrastructure components associated with monitored applications. Provide utilization reports showing resource trends and will identify potential opportunities for cost savings.
Dynatrace Technology Optimization and Operation.  Monitor and maintain the health of the APM deployment. This includes updating software with any necessary service packs and maintaining accurate deployment documentation with Technical Support. It also includes managing user access and security policies and providing recommendations about data backup and retention.
User Accessibility. Maintain user permissions and ensure Client resources have access to the appropriate areas of the technology. In addition, work closely to mentor Client users to more effectively utilize reports, dashboards, and other components of Dynatrace’s APM solution.
Mentoring and Knowledge Transfer. Provide mentoring of Client users on the technology and associated best practices. Transfer knowledge gained about the most effective usage of software within the Client environment.
Conduct comparisons of Web application performance against key competitors. Review competitive performance data trends and inform business and IT teams of any changes in performance or standing that should be addressed by the Client.
Report on the performance contributions of 3rd parties such as Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), cloud providers, and other remote service providers. Assess performance trends from third-party contributors and inform the Client of any performance issues that negatively affect overall performance results, contribute to missing SLAs, or otherwise should be addressed by the Client and their 3rd-party vendor.
